Bob Beck has been a baseball coach since 1998. His travel teams have competed in top level tournaments from ages 8u to 18u. As a coach and private instructor, Coach Beck has instructed thousands of baseball players on the fundamentals of the game of baseball in regards to hitting, fielding, and throwing. His specialty is in the area of hitting. Coach Beck uses video analysis to break down his player’s swing mechanics using side-by-side comparisons with major league players.
Coach Beck has worked as a volunteer hitting instructor with the Avon Lake Shoremen varisty baseball team and has conducted video analysis with the Oberlin College baseball team. He also creates player profile YouTube videos for college baseball recruiting (see "T3-TV" above). A huge aspect of Coach Beck’s teaching philosophy is preparing players to deal with the mental aspect of the game, which is so important in order to be successful.
"Baseball is a game of ups-and-downs and highs-and-lows. The challenge is to develop an emotional balance that will ultimately pave the way for both short term and long term success. The way to achieve this balance is through setting goals followed by a steady diet of daily hard work and mental preparation. Are you ready to commit?" – Coach Beck
